If you want to make very fine bobbin lace and the linen thread strength is no longer sufficient, you can use Egyptian cotton.It is traditionally used for some lace: Rosaline, Duchesse, Flanders lace, Cantu and others;also e.g.for fan blades that should be a little softer. Please note that the strength designation is "NeB", "numeric English cotton" and thus differs significantly from that of the linen thread (NeL).Even with the same strength designation, the thread is considerably finer than linen thread with the same number.Egyptian katoen 36/2 corresponds approximately to Bockens linen 60/2.
